Shilajit is a very useful and effective supplement to fight off a lot of diseases. It strengthens the immune system and makes you healthy and strong. People want to know whether it is safe to consistently use it for a longer period of time or not.

To find the answer, different experimental studies have been performed to do a safety evaluation for consistently administrating the supplement. In a study, mice were used to evaluate whether it is safe to use this powerful resin over a period of 91 days. Following is the outcome of the study:

  • The animals were regularly observed for a period of 2 weeks. Neither did they show any change in behavior nor was there any change in the mortality rate of mice, which made the drug suitable for further assessment.
  • During the entire trial period, there was no sign of any abnormality. The animal did not show any abnormality in the hair coat, rate convulsion, respiration character, feces color, etc.
  • Mice that were treated with mice showed no major difference of iron content in their organs with the exception of liver. However, there was no abnormality in any organ.
  • Shilajit did not affect any vital organs of the rats during a period of 91 days. There was no sign of enlarged organs due to the increased size of its cell, nor was there any indication of the degeneration of the organ cells.

The aforementioned results proved that long-term use of the supplement is not harmful and it does not cause toxicity. In fact, it is safe to use it as it does not damage any organ nor does it have any side effects.
