How to find if my Shilajit is pure?
The best way is to conduct a lab test for purity. In addition, you can test your Shilajit at home through simple tests.
Test 1: Take a small amount of Shilajit and press it in your front teeth. If there is any grit, it is not pure Shilajit
Test 2: Dissolve the Shilajit in water. If it is not fully dissolved, it is not pure Shilajit
Test 3: Burn the Shilajit. If it catches fire, it is not a pure Shilajit. Pure Shilajit turns into ash as a result of burning.
What are different types of Shilajit?
Shilajit has 4 types. The top quality is the Gold grade Shilajit. Others include Iron Shilajit, Zinc Shilajit, and Copper Shilajit.
How can I know if my Shilajit is Gold grade?
Gold grade Shilajit comes from the world’s highest region of Himalayas. Gold grade Shilajit gives red wine or golden color when dissolved in water. It is easily soluble in water. Its little quantity gives you the maximum benefits. When you take Gold Shilajit, you feel its effect.
I have purchased Shilajit. How to use it?
Using Golden Shilajit is very easy. Take a little amount (approximately 0.5 gram or the size of a green pea) of Golden Shilajit and swallow it on empty stomach before breakfast by 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can dissolve it in drinks. The liquid can be water, milk, or green tea.

For how long should I take Shilajit?

However, a suggested period of time is 3 months of using Shilajit. Afterwards, you are advised to take a break until you start feeling the need for Shilajit again or for 3 to 6 months. Another way to assess if you need to stop using Shilajit is through iron reserve blood test (Ferritin). If you found out that you exceeded or about to exceed the maximum allowable level of iron, you have to stop using Shilajit as it is very effective in increasing iron in our bodies.
Can I use Shilajit as a replacement of prescribed medicine?
NO! We never recommend using Shilajit as a medicine cure of any disease or as an alternate to any prescribed medicine. It is a herbal extract with so many health benefits. However, it can’t be the replacement of any prescribed medicine by your doctor.
